This course exposes the student to the various Excel-based analysis tools useful for evaluating a variety of engineering, financial, and business type decisions that have been modeled or could be model within the context of Excel. The material is presented through extensions of engineering economy applications. Fundamentally this course is problems-based with emphasis on modeling engineering economy type problems, execution of a given analysis and the proper interpretation of results. While the underlying theory is covered this course most of the course is practical applications and tools oriented. The expectation is that all students will actively model in Excel and individually model. The following add-ins to Excel are utilized:

- BestFit
This course is offered as a continuing education course, students who successfully complete this course will earn continuing education units and a certificate of course completion. No academic credit will be issued for completing this course.
