Prerequisite: Acceptance into the ISEN CE program, to apply visit http://tx.ag/ISENCE. STAT 601 or 602 (or STAT 2111 and STAT 212) or instructor approval. ​​​

Fundamental methodologies of simulation modeling; random number and variate generation, statistical analysis of model output, and discrete event modeling using a commercial simulation language. The course objectives are to: 
  • Understand the fundamental methodologies of discrete event (process-oriented) simulation modeling, 
  • Understand the key statistical issues involved in simulation data preparation and the analysis of simulation output, and 
  • Become familiar with modeling using a commercial language (Simio). ​

Thi​​s course is offered as a continuing education course, students who successfully complete this course will earn continuing education units and a certificate of course completion.  No academic credit will be issued for completing this course.
